Christopher Wyett

Co-Founder

Chris co-founded Makor Capital LLC in April 2022. He has overall responsibility for Makor’s investment and operating platforms, including investment strategy, property operations, asset management and acquisitions / dispositions. Chris has more than 22 years of experience acquiring and operating multifamily rental communities across numerous asset classes, including acquisition & rehabilitation of affordable housing projects, condominium conversion and land entitlement. Prior to founding Makor, Chris continuously served as co-CEO of Chartwell Holdings LLC, a company he co-founded in 2001, during which time the company acquired and operated more than 8,000 units across apartment communities located throughout the northeast and southeast United States. Chris is also concurrently an advisor to the Board of Directors of Churchill Forge Properties, a family-held real estate investment and management firm that owns and operates more than 11,000 units in 45 apartment communities in TX, SC, FL, MA and NH. Previously, Chris practiced real estate and corporate law at the New York law firm of Cravath, Swaine & Moore, from October 1994 to June 1998 and at the Boston law firm of Goulston & Storrs, from August 1998 to October 1999. Chris is currently the Board Chair of the Jewish Arts Collaborative (JArts) and is a member of the New England chapter of the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation. Chris was previously a long-time trustee and officer of Solomon Schechter Day School of Greater Boston; Chairman of the Advisory Committee of the PJ Library of Boston; and founding Board member of the Combined Jewish Philanthropy Real Estate Next Generation Group. Chris graduated magna cum laude with an A.B. degree in economics from Harvard College in 1989 and magna cum laude with a J.D. degree from Georgetown University Law Center in 1994.
